Draft Horses in Winter

Two draft horses stand in a snow-covered field, their breath clouding in the cold air, their massive forms reduced to warm brown shapes against the white. There is something deeply peaceful about these animals in winter — patient, powerful, unhurried. Painted with a soft palette that captures the muted beauty of an Alaska winter morning.
