Beaver in Winter

A beaver works at the edge of a frozen pond, its brown form at the ice-edged water. Winter wildlife painting requires a specific palette — the muted blues and greys of ice, the warm browns of the animal, the bare branches above. Kayley finds beauty in this industrious, often-overlooked creature, honoring the life that continues through the Alaska winter regardless of cold.
