What Happens When You Inquire?
1. Let's Get to Know Each Other
Before booking, we'll schedule an initial consultation call.
This is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, talk about your wedding, and see whether live wedding painting is the right fit for your celebration.
I'd love to hear about your wedding plans, your venue, the atmosphere you're creating, and what initially drew you to the idea of having a live painting.
I'll also walk you through my artistic process, explain how live painting works, and answer any questions you may have.
I want you to feel confident and excited about the experience before making a commitment.
2. Choose Your Collection
If we decide that we're a good fit, the next step is choosing the collection that best suits your vision.
We'll discuss the differences between Intimate, Signature, and Heirloom, including canvas size, composition, background details, and the amount of studio refinement.
This is also an opportunity to discuss special requests, additional subjects, or customization beyond the selected collection.
3. Receive Your Personalized Estimate
Once you've selected your collection and we've discussed the details of your wedding, I'll prepare a personalized estimate.
Your estimate will outline:
• Your chosen painting collection
- The base collection price
- Any requested additions or customization
- Applicable travel expenses
- Any other agreed-upon costs
- Your estimated total investment
• The booking retainer and remaining payment schedule
I want you to have a clear understanding of everything included and the total cost before moving forward.
4. Contract & Reserving Your Date
If you're happy with the estimate and decide to move forward, I'll send over a contract outlining our agreement, payment terms, and the details of your selected collection.
To officially reserve your wedding date, you'll need to:
• Pay a 40% non-refundable booking retainer, subject to the terms of our agreement.
The booking retainer is applied toward your total balance.
The remaining 60% is due seven days before your wedding.
Your date is not officially reserved until both the signed contract and booking retainer have been received.
5. Let's Talk About Your Vision
Approximately two weeks before your wedding, we'll arrange an in-person or video consultation.
This is when we'll dive deeper into the artistic details of your painting.
I want to hear what you envision. We'll talk about the moment you want to capture, the details that matter most to you, and how the finished artwork can tell your story.
Perhaps it's your first kiss, a quiet moment before the ceremony, your first dance, or a particular moment surrounded by people you love.
We'll also discuss photography and whether you would like a brief planned portrait moment before or after your ceremony or would prefer a naturally occurring moment captured during your celebration.
And we'll talk about guest participation.
6. Your Guests Can Become Part of the Painting
One of my favorite parts of painting live is interacting with people and sharing the creative process.
If you choose to include guest participation, I will invite interested guests to contribute a brushstroke to your painting under my guidance.
No artistic experience is necessary. I'll guide each participant, providing the appropriate brush and paint and helping them add their mark in a way that complements the artwork.
Guest participation is entirely optional. You're also welcome to have your guests simply watch the painting develop throughout the celebration.
7. Your Wedding Day
I'll arrive approximately two to three hours before your ceremony to set up my painting station, study your venue, capture reference images, and begin the foundation of your artwork.
During your wedding, I'll continue painting as the celebration unfolds.
Your guests can stop by, ask questions, watch the progress, and, if you've chosen the interactive experience, participate under my guidance.
8. The Studio Process
When your celebration comes to an end, I'll carefully transport your painting back to my studio.
This is where much of the detailed realism takes shape.
I'll refine the figures, expressions, lighting, textures, and important surroundings according to your chosen collection.
The amount of additional studio work varies by package, from up to 15 hours for Intimate to up to 35 hours for Heirloom.
9. Your Finished Painting
Once the painting is complete and has dried sufficiently for safe handling, we'll arrange for pickup or delivery.
My estimated completion and delivery window is approximately 10–16 weeks after your wedding, depending on the painting's complexity, oil drying times, and finishing requirements.
The result is an original painting made especially for you, preserving a moment from your wedding in a way that is entirely your own.
Shipping, framing, and any additional services not included in your selected collection will be quoted separately.
I'd love to hear what you're envisioning for your wedding.
